Demonstrate a simple model for the voltage-induced alteration of emission color from the organic light emitting diodes (OLED) based on 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2-t-butyl-6-(1,1,7,7-tetramethyljulolidyl-9-enyl)-4H-pyran (DCJTB) doped into 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline(BCP).The device displays a continuous change of color from orange to purple depending on the applied bias.The emitting characteristics can be rationalized by the potential energy barriers at the interface between different layers.
