在旧有的传统建筑中引入新的使用功能，既可满足现实社会中的新需求，也能改变目前城市发展过程中大拆大建的现象，从而有望解决旧建筑与新需求之间的矛盾。苏州平江历史街区的古建改造利用是一次成功的尝试。以苏州平江历史街区传统建筑的整治及功能置换为例，对新旧建筑功能转换的一些原则及形式进行研究，提出切实可行的措施。
在舊有的傳統建築中引入新的使用功能，既可滿足現實社會中的新需求，也能改變目前城市髮展過程中大拆大建的現象，從而有望解決舊建築與新需求之間的矛盾。囌州平江歷史街區的古建改造利用是一次成功的嘗試。以囌州平江歷史街區傳統建築的整治及功能置換為例，對新舊建築功能轉換的一些原則及形式進行研究，提齣切實可行的措施。

Lead new features into the old traditional architecture can not only meet the new demands of social reality, but also change the current process of urban development ,then people will find the hope to resolve the contradiction between traditional architecture and new demands. Modification and utilization of ancient architecture in Pingjiang history and culture street in suzhou is a successful attempt .This article will put forward the renovation of traditional architecture and function replacement in Pingjiang history and culture street as an example to study about the principles and forms of function replacement between traditional and new Buildings. In the end recommend practical measures to solve these problems.
