The major problems of lime/limestone - gypsum method which is the current mainstream FGD technology were discussed, and the feasible sintering flue gas desulphurization technology under "low - carbon economy" was analyzed, it was pointed out that ammonia and activated coke desulphurization processes were likely to be the developing directions of wet and dry methods, respectively.
