The brightness control method based on PWM is introduced. The difficult prob
lems and key technology of digital LED screen are analyzed. The design of scanning controller for large scale LED screen is discussed, and a solution of scanning controller based on FPGA is proposed. The experiment results showed that the structure of the newly-designed scanning controller was flexible, its performance is excellent, and the LED screen controlled by this scanner is suitable for indoor and outdoor video display.
