The analysis suggests that Xin'an River three - source model can be used to study Feiyunjiang Biver watershed and can also be applied to the flood forecasting system in Shanxi Hydraulic Complex. Results of operation evaluation in two years indicate that the selection of this model is successful. Xin'an River three-source model plays a great role in flood prevention and typhoon control efforts of this region by providing scientific evidence and technical support for the decision making process to ensure the safe operations and optimized dispatching of reservoirs in Feiyunjiang River Watershed.
