Numerical simulation software for foundry process is too expensive for small and medium enterprises of foundry,which resulted in the failure of CAE technology in helping enterprises to improve the quality of casting so as to meet the international standards.The development program which established a CAE technology platform based on B/S in foundry industry for public service was achieved and applied.The practice proves that the platform based on network technology,and combined with MAGMAsoft which is a numerical simulation software for foundry process,can offer long-range CAE technology service for small and medium enterprises of foundry,and help enterprises analyse defect,improve the design and productivity,also lower the cost of using CAE technology and casting production.
