The applications of protein stain fluorescent probes in biological analysis and proteomics become more extensive recently. The probes are used to analyze and recognize proteins on the molecular level, as well as detect the complicated conformational changes of proteins and various physiological progress like the interaction of proteins. This review summarized the investigation and recent progresses of the protein stain fluorescent probes, and discussed their future developing trends with 63 references.
