This paper introduces a new type of motor-giant magnetostrictive harmonic motor, which is based on
the principle of harmonic drive and electromagnetic effect of giant magnetostrictive material. According to the giant magnetostrictive wave generator composed of four-phase giant magnetostrictive driver and the analysis of the control principle,this paper presents a corresponding control program, and designed driving principle diagram with the rapid response feature of the giant magnetostrictive harmonic actuator. The architecture and block diagram of the control system software for the functions of speed adjustment,reversing and exact location was also specified.
