The application scope of the primitive model of S-rough sets is extremely restricted owing to its dynamic discussion of knowledge discovery and formula exploration from the perspective of single universe.The primitive model of S-rough sets is extended to the double universes by means of constructive method.The relationships between S-rough sets and Z.Pawlak rough sets,between S-rough sets on the single universes and on the double universes are analyzed,and a discussion about some correlative properties of S-rough sets on double universes is discussed and an application in disease diagnosis is given.
