The paper introduces the flexible flange is the main form for the steel pipe tower structure connection of the transmission lines, including the galvanism flange and non-stiffened flange, analyzes and proves the non-stiffened flange experiments at home and abroad by comparing the differences in the non-stiffened flange loading calculation theories in China and Japan, explores the flange plate thickness calculation methods and accuracy of the non-stiffened flange, and proves by the results that the strength calculation methods of the non-stiffened flange and the flange plate design theory in Japan are more correct, and the non-stiffened flange can be used to check in the design.
