Instead of spodumene,Petalite can be used to produce ceramic cooking utensils with the ther- mal expansion coefficient of 1.86×10-7 and thermal shock resistance without cracking when they were treated from 700℃ to 20℃. The role of petalite in the formula of baby and glaze and its effect on manufacturing is also analyzed.
