任何科学理论都只能建立在理想物质模型之上,考察并且讨论＂油漆匠悖论＂可以看到在理想模型与科学实践中存在不可解决的矛盾,通过进一步的数学推演发现旋转体面积与体积之间的矛盾具有普遍性,即理想模型与实践的悖论.其中原因既有模型本身的不完善因素,也有对模型类型的混淆所造成的.从建立新物质模型的角度出发,着手寻找原有模型的缺陷,从而解决一些尚未解决的悖论.＂油漆匠悖论＂问题中,计算油漆涂层的厚度,涉及到的物质模型应该是物质存在最小单位——分子的非连续的物质模型;而数学上微积分的物质模型则是连续的无限可分的,正是对这两种模型的混淆才造成该悖论,并通过建立新模型合理解释了该问题.从中引出认识：建立在理想物质模型上的科学理论都会遇到不可解决的问题,而任何科学理论都只能建立在理想物质模型之上,因此科学理论是无止境的、必然进化的和可追逐的.

Any scientific theory can only be based on ideal material models.However,having examined and discussed ＂the Painters＇ Paradox＂,we find that there exist some contradictions which can＇t be solved between ideal models and scientific practice.By further mathematical calculations,the contradictions in the area and the volume of the rotator are common,that is the paradox of ideal models and practice,which results from not only the imperfections of the models but also the mixing of the model types.From the perspective of establishing a new material model,the faults of the original models have been discovered so as to solve the paradox that hasn＇t been solved.Considering ＂the Painters＇ Paradox＂,when calculating the thickness of paint＇s coatings,we have to involve in the material models whose elements should be non-continuous.But the material models of the mathematics calculus are continuous and can be divided unlimitedly.It is the mixing of these two models that create the paradox and this new model exactly gives a reasonable explanation for this problem.We can learn from it that any scientific theory based on ideal material models could not solve all the problems encountered,though any scientific theory can only be built on ideal material models.Therefore,a scientific theory has properties of being endless,inevitably evolutional and chaseable.
