华南青刚(壳斗科)Cyclobalanopsis edithae (Skan)Schott的坚果,分别以3种不同的位置(平放、柱座向上及柱座向下)埋进泥土,测试不同位置对种发芽率及幼苗成长的影响.结果显示坚果平放的发芽率最高,幼苗生长亦最快.还就实验结果对苗圃萌发育苗的技术作出了讨论.

Acorns of Cyclobalanopsis edithae (Skan) Schott were buried in soil in three orientations,namely tip-down,tip-up and sideways.The effect of seed orientation on the germination and subsequent growths of the seedlings were investigated.The results showed that the seeds buried side-ways had the highest percentage of germination and the seedlings germinated from such an orientation had the fastest growth.The implications on germinating seeds for seedling production in the nursery were discussed.
