沭阳位于苏北江淮官话与中原官话交界处，境内各乡镇皆有入声调类，但入声字词在读音和连调方面均有明显差异，入声向舒声演变方式多样、过程复杂。
沭暘位于囌北江淮官話與中原官話交界處，境內各鄉鎮皆有入聲調類，但入聲字詞在讀音和連調方麵均有明顯差異，入聲嚮舒聲縯變方式多樣、過程複雜。
술양위우소북강회관화여중원관화교계처，경내각향진개유입성조류，단입성자사재독음화련조방면균유명현차이，입성향서성연변방식다양、과정복잡。
Shuyang is in the border region of Jianghuai and Zhongyuan Mandarin in the north of Jiangsu Province. There are entering tones in every towns of Shuyang, but there are obvious differences in the pronunciation and even read crack of entering tone words. The entering tone changes to the level tone on a multiple and complicated level.
