3-Formylchrone reacted with aroylhydrazine to give corresponding hydrazone, which wastreated with acetic anhydride to give a series of chromones with substitution of 1, 3,4-dihydrooxadi-azoly in 3-position. The chromone formation reaction could be finished in a much short time by mi-crowave irradiation heating.
