Based on the philosophy of "scientific innovation" and "sustainable development", by integrating high technologies and conventional way of construction, the Expo Center is designed as a model of large public building complex under the current trend of environmental protection and energy saving. As a permanent pavilion, it fully embodies the design principles of "Perfect in Function, Solemn in form, and Energy-saving and Environment-friendly", which is closely in line with the theme of Expo 2010 Shanghai China.
