Submerged arc welding has the advantages of high deposition rates and good welding quality, it is one of the widespread fusion welding processes in the welding production. The various high efficiency submerged arc welding methods was introduced, including multiple wires submerged are welding, band electrode submerged arc welding, submerged arc welding with alloyed metal powders, narrow gap submerged arc welding, cold and hot wire filled submerged arc welding. The respective technology characteristics and domestic application situation were analyzed and summarized.
