Due to various causes exerted on the satellite on geostationary orbit, the satellite orbital parameters are no longer constant and its movement trajectory plane will be inclined from the equatorial plane. This makes the fixed beam of antenna deviate from the earth station, causing pointing mismatch error. Degraded communication quality and even failure may be resulted in. In this paper, the influence on antenna pointing is discussed due to satellite drift, and a pointing adjustment strategy is provided.
