The basic approach for our enterprises to win competition predominance in the world is to widely use of Advanced Manufacturing Mode (AMM). So it is very important to have a deeply research in AMM theories and practices. This paper will explain the basic AMM idea and its special features at first, then will have a simply analysis about manu- facturing strategy evolving in different countries. Then will have a summarization about agile manufacturing, green manu- facturing, computer integrated manufacturing, lean production and mass customization mode in recent years. It will dis- cuss the trend for future research on AMM in the conclusion.
