The main treatment processes and characteristics of the Taihu Xincheng WWTP second-stage project are introduced. This is an upgrading reconstruction and extension construction project in which the improved A~2/O process with step feed is used. After the construction, the total treatment ca-pacity of the WWTP is 15×10~4 m~3/d, the effluent quality meets the first class A criteria.
