This article presented the basic situation of food safety supervision of catering industry facing in Huangpu District in Shanghai during the World Expo and introduced a series of practice about grid control, rotation of execution, intensive operations, dynamic classifying regulation, and early warning monitoring and their effectiveness. To solve the problems the food safety of catering industry facing after the World Expo, measures about strengthening the supervision of small restaurants, inhibiting the market without license or beyond the scope of business, guiding self-regulation, ect were proposed.
