For a long time,quantities calculation and schedule control of large-scale earthwork project is basically based on arranging check net.There are disadvantages about this method such as slow speed and low accuracy.If the ground is irregular,it will be harder to handle.With a project example,the passage shows that quantities calculation and schedule control of large-scale earthwork project can be highly improved by using Topcon Electronic Total Station-102N which is combined with the South cass8.0 software.
