A stage-structured predator-prey model with delay is considered.Based on Hale and Waltman's famous persistence theory,the sufficient and necessary conditions which guarantee the permanence of system are derived.Results show that the maturation time delay of the predator and the negative feedback of the prey play an important role in determining the permanence of the species.
