This paper describes the primary Ethemet ring protection switching schemes with RFC3619 and G.8032. It rises a new scheme based on stable topology and illustrates the mechanism of protection and switching in detail. The most outstanding char-acteristic of this scheme is that it shows an idea of stable topology and combines the advantages of RFC3619 and G.8032. Therefore it could shorten the recovery time of business and increase the robustness of Ethemet ring.
