A Hydrological Data Acquisition System is introduced which includes GSM modules and AT89S52 single chip computers and so on. Hydrological Data Acquisition System is based on short message of GSM network. The design process of the system is described and the communication between single chip computers and GSM modules is explained,and the way how to use AT instruction to control GSM module receiving or sending short messages is showed.
