The characteristics of alkaline waste etchant were briefly analyzed, and the basic principle of extraction and electrowinning method was summarized. The engineering application and environmental benefit were also analyzed. The results showed that, the etching rate of regenerated etchant was 60m/min, and etching factor was higher than 3.5, and the purity of recovered copper was 99.95%.
