The toxicity of the wastewater containing xanthate discharged from flotation operation is very formidable. These effluents direct discharge will cause serious environmental pollution. This paper describes several technologies for treating these effluents by using physico-chemical method and biodegradation method,and several suggestions about how to increase the efficiency of xanthate-removal were proposed.
