Cellulose carbamate (CC),a kind of derivative of cellulose,is considered as the most potential production to instead of cellulose sulfonate.The progress of developments,recent research,synthetic methods and applicated properties of CC were reviewed.The cellulose solvents in the esterification reaction were classified and summarized based on previous researches.Non-derivative cellulose solvents which being one category of ionic liquids have attracted enormous studies in cellulose recently.
