A summary is made on the principle of remote sensing monitoring of water quality.The data source of remote sensing monitoring of water quality is introduced,including multi spectral remote sensing data and hyper spectral remote sensing data.A comment is made on the remote sensing monitoring progress of chlorophyll,suspended sediment and yellow substances.Finally,the applications of remote sensing technology to water quality monitoring in the future are proposed.
