advertising language discourse analysis constitutive function
There have been many researches on advertising language;however, few of them are conducted in the framework of discourse analysis and take insights from sociolinguistics. In this paper I will analyze commercial advertising language, consumer ads in particular, beyond the traditional way of description, but go a step further-to interpret advertising and focus more attention on the reflective and constitutive functions of commercial advertising language.
