The continuous adsorption of Cd2+ on vermiculite was studied,in addition the modification and regeneration of the adsorbent were inspected.The results sh owed that vermiculite had a strong adsorption effect and the successive operatio n of adsorption to Cd2+ was practical;The adsorption capacity of vermicul ite can be remarkably increased when modified with 1mol/L HCl or 1mol/L NaCl.Mor eover the adsorbent can be readily regenerated with 1mol/L NaCl and used repeatly.
