The present paper is a retrospective study of ovarian tumors in 108 children and adolescents (7 months to 17 years of age) from Yimeng areas.The tumors were classified into three major categories, of which germ cell tumors made up 72%,epithelial tumors,18.5%,sex cord interstitial umors,5.5%,and bilateral tumors,4.63%.The germ cell tumors were subdivided into 5 groups: Teratoma (81.7%), dysgerminoma (6.01%), endodermal sinus tumor (3.7%), embryonal carcinoma (1.9%) and malignant mixed germ cell tumors (3.7%). Abdominal pain was the most common complaint ,and an abdominal mass, the most common sign. Calcification on abdominal films was seen in 36 patients with benign teratoma. Of the 31 patients with malignant tumors, after treatment,10 survived for 1-8 years,5 died and 16 cases were unavailable for follow-up.
