Portable field water purifying devices have brought people great conveniences in getting drinking water in the field.This paper summarized the water purifying materials,water treatment process,and the structure design characteristics of the portable water purifying device,analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the portable field water purifying device,and made the conclusion that the low power high efficient membrane materials would lead the development of the portable field water purifying device.
