以伦敦、纽约、巴黎、东京等4座世界城市为研究对象，从水资源自然禀赋和水务发展现状两方面，选择能够反映城市水务发展水平的指标进行比较分析，摸清北京市与世界城市在水务领域的差距．并提出支撑建设世界城市的北京水务指标体系。

This paper selected London, New York, Paris and Tokyo as the research objects to investigate the water development index. The differences between the world cities and Beijing had been found through the analysis of each city＇s water development index that can reflect water development level from two aspects： the natural condition of water resource and the development status quo. The Beijing water index system which supports the world city model was advanced.
