The contents of ferric oxide (Fe_2O_3) in rutile and titanium yellow were determined by air-acetylene flame atomic absorption spectrometry.The samples are dissolved with ammonium sulfate and concentrated sulfuric acid.The method is easy,rapid and accurate.The recovery is 98.4~102.1% with RSD of 1.3~2.5%.The results are satisfactory.
