Bi_(4-x)Nd_xTi_3O_(12)%rare-earth doping%characteristic of spectroscopy
使用自助熔生长法生长Bi_(4-x)Nd_xTi_3O_(12)(BNdT,x=0,0.5,0.85)单晶,研究了Nd掺杂对BNdT单晶光谱学特性的影响.常温拉曼光谱结果表明:随Nd含量的增加,BNdT中TiO_6八面体振动模式有所增强;Nd含量增加到一定值,BNdT单晶可能在常温下发生铁电一顺电相转变;位于(Bi_2O_2)~2+层的Bi-O振动模式随Nd掺杂量增加而减弱,表明Nd含量较低时,Nd~(3+)离子仅仅取代伪钙钛矿层的Bi~(3+)离子,当Nd含量较高时,有部分Nd~(3+)离子开始替换(Bi_2O_2)~(2+)层中的Bi~(3+)离子.紫外-可见光谱结果表明,BNdT单晶具有间接带隙跃迁的特点,而且单晶的禁带宽度随Nd掺杂含量的增加而减小.

Bi_(4-x)Nd_xTi_3O_(12) (BNdT,x= 0,0. 5,0. 85) single crystals were grown by self-flux method.Effect of Nd substitution on their characteristic of spectroscopy were investigated. Raman spectra of BNdT single crystals in room temperature indicate that TiO_6 vibrational mode increases with increasing Nd content(x). When Nd content increases to a certain value, BNdT single crystals probably undergo a ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition. Bi-O vibrational mode in (Bi_2O_2)~(2+)layers gradually becomes weak with increasing Nd content (x), indicating that Nd~(3+) ions only substitute with Nd~(3+) in the pseudo-perovskite layers at low Nd-doping level, whereas some Nd~(3+) ions begin to incorporate into (Bi_2O_2)~(2+) layers at higher Nd-substituted content. UV-Vis transmittance spectra of BNdT single crystals reveal that they have an indirect band gap. E_g decreases with the increase of Nd content (x).
