听、说、读、写是促进英语学习者综合技能全面提高的有效手段,其中听、说是关键,而听说能力提升的基础在于学好音标。但目前英语教学中还存在不重视音标的现象,给学生学习英语带来障碍。本文主要结合自身教学实践,从学习音标的作用入手,探讨学习音标的途径。

The effective way of comprehensively improving an English learner' comprehensive quality is listening, speaking, reading and writing, of which listening and speaking is the key and their improvement lies in the excellent acquisition of phonetic symbols.But the current English lay less stress on the teaching of phonetic symbols which is an obstacle for students' English learning.This paper probes into the ways of learning phonetic symbols based on the author's own teaching experience and the analysis of the functions of phonetic symbols.
