The mist cooling effects on low pressure casting dies were tested. The effects of air cooling and mist cooling on mechanical properties and dispersed shrinkage of the spoke for aluminum wheel were analyzed. The temperature distribution and performance data on the castings were obtained, which provide valuable basis for low pressure casting die design and cooling system design.
