In this paper,the principles and characteristics of air-source heat pump water heater were introduced. Taking the service conditions of a bathhouse in a university as an example, both the economic and social benefit of coal burning boiler and air-source heat pump water heater are analyzed contrastively and the results show that the air-source heat pump water heater has large advantages than the former one.
