新疆喀什自古以来就是丝绸之路上政治、经济和文化交流的重镇,由于喀什在新疆南部乃至整个中亚地区的地位重要,近代以来成为西方旅行家的＂必经＂之地。在他们的游记、回忆录中,他们以观察者的视角,全面记录了当时喀什社会状况,这为后人研究喀什社会生活提供了丰富的素材。

Kashgar was an important town on Silk Road which played a key role in exchange of politics,economy and culture.Because of its important status in the whole central Asian areas,it became a place for tourism and tourists from western countries swarmed here to visit.These tourists described in their travel notes or memoirists the social status of Kashgar at that time,which provide rich material for those who are studying Kashgar about its history.
