The necessity and importance of handling phosphogypsum by co-production of sulphuric acid and cement are discussed form the point of view of resource utilization and environment.The technological development and improvement in co-production of sulphuric acid and cement with phosphogypsum are described to draw a conclusion that the project is feasible both in terms of technology and economics.It is recommended to properly develop according to local conditions,strengthen cooperation between sulphric acid and cement industries and get policy support from the government.
