从理论和实验上阐述了基于周期性极化铌酸锂晶体的电光开关.实验中,我们观察到周期为21 μm周期性极化铌酸晶体中的Solc滤波光谱.当调节施加在晶体Y方向的电场大小时,滤波的中心波长处的光强变化可达到39.23 dB,从而实现了一个高消光比的电光开关.

We demonstrate a compact electro-optic switch with high extinction ratio in periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN).During the experiment,a PPLN crystal,with the period of 21 μm, is placed between crossed polarizer.By tuning the applied electric field along the Y-axis of the PPLN, the light intensity of the operating wavelength shifts with 43 dB extinction ratio.which can serve as a high speed electro-optic switch.
