A simple expression of focused impulse sound field generated by concave spherical surface transducers is deduced based on the concept of transfer function. The duration and spectral characteristics of acoustic pressure signal at various sites of the transducer axis in this sound field are studied numerically and experimentally, and its effects on hyperthermia are analyzed.
