The principle of the release characteristics on marine DC eontaetor was surveyed and the main fac-tors which impact DC contactor correct release were analyzed.Based on 3D finite element method,by ANSYS soft-ware,a way to reduce residual flux force was introduced to ensure the DC eontactor release correctly.The reliability of marine DC contactor was impmved.
