Procedures for designing a tunable liquid crystal (LC) filter areillustrated.The filter is composed with liquidcrystal materials named BL-009 and E70.The experimental results showed that the LC filter based on electrooptic effect have many attractive freatures:the applied voltage is low,trans mission rate is high and its tunnable spectrum range is extraordinarily broad.
