The usefulness of Chinese herbs and natural products as healing agents has been known for thousand years. And a lot of Chinese beheve that Chinese traditional medicine is not a category of folk medicine, but a kind of well orsanized system. In the other hand many western countries refilse to admit the legal position of Chinese traditional medicine as it's not an evidence-based medicine. Even Chinese themselves cannot deny the Adverse effects of Chinese medicine and its preparatiom. However no one can point out the effect, no mater good or bad, of traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, the author surveys this puzzle.
