The development of a double-electron gun CPT as an investigation of the essential technology associated with the development of large-screen multi-electron-gun flat CPTs are summarized,and the main technical challenges encountered during the development are analyzed.It is proposed that the improvements of the conventional CPT industry in this way can compete with other kinds of flat display devices.
