Traditional rock quality classification has many indexes, which are discrete and have different weights. The domestic classification often uses a certain level of rock quality to describe the whole region, lacking description of the rock mass quality within the region. Taking Q-classification method for example, relevant knowledge of systematic evaluation and systematic decision, as well as stochastic analysis and sensitivity theory will be introduced to rock engineering design to evaluate the rock mass quality.
