贺州客家人在贺州总人口中占有较大比例。客家学生在英语初学过程中遇到了一些特有的困难和问题,如[f],[h]不分,[l],[r]不分,人称代词主格与所有格不分等。笔者以客家人学英语的经历为基础,通过调查分析,探究客家话与英语在语音、语法和文化方面的差异,以消除其负面影响,提高相关学生的英语能力。

There is a large proportion of Hakka people in Hezhou City.At their initiative learning of English,Hakka students meet some special difficulties and problems.For example,they fail to distinguish [f] and and [r],and to distinguish nominative case and possessive case of the personal pronouns.From the bases of experience of English learning in Hakka students,and through investigation and analysis,the authors probe into the differences between the two languages（dialects） in phonetics,grammar and culture,so as to eliminate the negative influence existing in the Hakka students,and to improve their English ability.
