贵州苗族的独木龙舟是举世无双的非物质文化遗产,采用人类学"田野工作"(field-work)方法,对黔东南地区清水江及其支流巴拉河流域的37个苗族村寨独木龙舟竞渡的选手进行了体质形态的调查测试.结合体育人类学理论,进行了苗族独木龙舟竞渡选手与全国成年人、青少年以及国际标准竞技小龙舟运动员的体质分析;对苗族独木龙舟竞渡选手与贵州世居苗、侗、土家、布依等民族的体质形态进行比较,对其体质人类学的基本特征进行分析.从而表明苗族独木龙舟作为一项旨在提高民族凝聚力和延续力的传统习俗,并无体育意识和健身动机,其运动形式可以视为体育萌芽,实质上,更应当作为一项世界级的非物质文化遗产来看待.

Dragon canoe of Guizhou Miao Nationality is the unique in the world intangible cul-tural heritage. This paper makes survey on physical condition of dragon canoe racers from 37 Miao villages in the region of southeast Guizhou province, Qingshui River and itsthe tributaries of Bala River through using the method of anthropology field work. Combining with theory of sport anthropology, the physical analysis between local racers and adult and junior people as well as international standard small canoe athletes is made. The physical physique is compared between racers and local residents of Miao, Dong, Tujia, Buyi nationality and their basic charac-ter of physical anthropology is analyzed. The result shows that as a traditional habit of promo-ting national cohesion and continuance, Miao dragon canoe race has no idea of sport and fitness motivation. Its movement style can be regarded as initial stage of sport, even as one of the world-class intangible culture heritage.
